Welcome to RSSVP!
Rescue of Southern Sudan Village People is a group of people dedicated to developing a support system for the people of Majok-Chediop, a village in the Yirol area of Southern Sudan. Since the 21 year civil war, that ended 4 years ago, this area is devoid of infrastructure and basic answers to human development, need and even survival.
To thrive, people need water, food, education, health care
and sustainable spiritual vitality. (See our other pages)
At this time, the people of Majok-Chediop are dying for want of
these basic services. There is no-one acting to bring these resources to the
area. A tribe of over 30,000 people are subsisting from drought to drought, and
barely surviving on water that is inadequate in quantity and full of
disease-bearing microbes.
We envision a healthy community that is self sustaining in
basic education, stable in biblical spiritual health, enabled in basic health
care (including consistent medical services, agricultural knowledge, and safe
water supply.)
Who We Are:
Abraham and Isaac Majak are brothers who grew up in Majok-Chediop, and were displaced by the war. They came to the USA in 2001, and have a deep passion for helping the surviving family and other people who are now living with, and in, the aftermath of that war.
They have developed The RSSVP group from a pool of interested people including other Sudanese, and socially minded people from around the United States.
They invite you to get involved by:

Getting the information you want
Donating funds to develop these projects
Encouraging them by mail or e-mail
Encouraging others to get involved.
